Wrapping Up The Weekend In Ohio

There’s no question the Panthers suffered through a tough road trip to Cleveland State and Youngstown State. Milwaukee was much improved Saturday against YSU after a disappointing performance Friday against CSU. But, in the end, UWM still came away from the weekend 0-2.

News and Notes
UWM had just 11 kills in three sets Friday night, then had 16 in the first set alone Saturday. The Panthers got three hitters into double figures in kills in the loss to YSU … Taylor Golabowski played in a match for the first time since the first weekend of the season. The sophomore broke her hand in late August … Anna Bartz is now up to 947 career digs … Bartz is also slated to play in her 100th career match Friday at Green Bay … the Panthers are now 0-7 on the road … UWM is now locked in a three-way tie for fifth place with Green Bay and Youngstown State. One of those three teams will not qualify for the league tournament … YSU’s win over UWM was just its second against the Panthers since joining the Horizon League in 2001
