Player Of The Game: Sophomore Avyanna Young put on a show, scoring 18 points and tying her career-high with 16 rebounds. She seemed to be everywhere on the court and continues to improve each game in her sophomore season.

Play of the Game: Illinois State kept sticking around and, even after Milwaukee had built the lead to double-digits on numerous occasions, was still hanging around when UWM converted just 55 percent of its free throws down the stretch. The Redbirds trimmed the deficit to 7 at at 60-53, but Decorah buried her fifth three-pointer of the day that started a final 10-2 run to ice it.

Key Stats: The Panthers held Illinois State to just 30.6 percent shooting and 2 of 21 on three's. The great defense kept the point total to a season-low 58 for opponents and UWM won the rebounding battle for the first time in 6 games at 45-43. All keys to a big win.

News and Notes: The Panthers made 9 more three-pointers on the day, led by a season-high 5 in the game by Decorah. Angela Rodriguez continues her strong season in the assist column. She started the day leading the Horizon League at 6.0 per game and had 7 more today.
