Postgame Extra – Milwaukee at Loyola

Game #25 – Milwaukee 66, Loyola 57

Player of the Game - Kaylon Williams put together another stellar all-around game in Thursday’s win. He had eight assists, 10 rebounds and five points in 38 minutes. He also got full credit from head coach Rob Jeter for controlling both ends of the floor in the Panthers’ victory.

Turning Point - In the end, the Panthers won the game in the first five minutes, bolting to a 16-2 advantage. If there was one big play that seemed to stand out after that, it was Tony Meier’s three with 9:30 remaining that restored a double-digit advantage.

Stat That Mattered - UWM forced 15 turnovers and scored 22 points off those turnovers. The defense also held Loyola to just 33.3 percent shooting, a season low for a Panther opponent.

The Notebook - Anthony Hill picked up his second foul with 17:11 left in the first half and sat the rest of the way … Hill then was limited in the second half by fouls and wound up playing just 13 minutes … he still scored nine points ... with Hill in foul trouble, Christian Wolf and Mitchell Carter played nine minutes apiece … Kaylon Williams reached double figures in rebounds for the third time this season … his eight assists marked the second-most this season … UWM has now won a season-best five-straight games … the Panthers have also won three-straight at Loyola … Milwaukee reached double figures in offensive rebounds for the fourth-straight game.

Up Next - UWM continues its weekend road swing to Chicago with a Saturday afternoon contest at UIC.
