Megna is tops, Hagen not too shabby

In the wake of Sarah Hagen's fifth-straight Horizon League Player of the Week honor, the NCAA has released updated national statistical leaders and both she and Kate Megna factor among the nation's elite.

Megna leads the nation 14 assists, three better than any other player, and is averaging a national-best 0.88 assists per game. Second place on the list, Michelle Enyeart from Portland, is averaging 0.79 per contest. Megna has assisted on goals in her last six games, including on all three scores for Milwaukee in two games last weekend.

Meanwhile, Hagen is fairly comfortable near the top of both the point and goal lists. She has 19 goals and 42 points so far this season, which puts her second in the nation in both. Her per-game goal-scoring average of 1.118 is fourth and her 2.47 points per game are sixth. She has scored goals in a school-record nine-straight games and 13-straight league games with one to play Friday at Green Bay.

In the league, no other player has more than eight goals and Megna is second with 17 points. On the assists leaderboard, another Panther, Keara Thompson, is tied for second with six.
