Freshman women's basketball player Jaye Two Bears is a long way from home (Cannon Ball, N.D.), but she is still making her presence felt all the way from Milwaukee.
The 5-foot-10 guard is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe - the same tribe that has been in the news of late with their opposition with the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline.
Two Bears has used her platform right from the start to help gain attention and understanding of the situation, joining Wisconsin men's basketball player Bronson Koenig and Nevada women's basketball player Morning Rose Tobey in putting on a basketball camp for area youth back in North Dakota earlier this year.
