Woman of the Match
Sammy Vovos is the easy sentimental choice. Making her first collegiate start on Senior Day, she netted the game-winner less than five minutes into the match. She also added an assist on the game's fifth goal.
Notes
Milwaukee is now 13-0 against Cleveland State all-time, outscoring the Vikings 59-2 in those games … this was the Panthers’ seventh-straight shutout in the series … Vovos made her first collegiate start … Lauren Jimenez made her Panther debut … Sara Zawacki is the second UWM player to score goals in her first two collegiate appearances (Sarah Hagen, 2008) … Callie O’Donnell’s assist was the first of her career … Milwaukee previous season high for goals in a game this season was four vs. St. Bonaventure Aug. 19 … its 20 shots are also a season-best, trumping that SBU game … Forbes’ win was No. 35 of her career, third-most in school history and one back of second … the shutout was her 25th, already second in school history ... Dorre missed a hat trick by inches, hitting the cross bar on a 25-yard blast in the first half.
Iron Woman Watch (Played every minute this season) 1414+ minutes ... Forbes, Scott.
