The Milwaukee women's basketball team has had loads of success this season, and they certainly wouldn't have gotten where they are with out two underclassmen from Northwestern Wisconsin.
Sophomore Jenny Lindner and freshman Emma Roenneburg have both played big roles for Milwaukee over the season and ready for the start of the Horizon League Tournament with the semifinal on Saturday.
With Lindner and Roenneburg hailing from the same part of the state, their local paper recently caught up with the hometown heros heading into Saturday's big game up in Green Bay.
"But another program is quietly ascending as two local players, Neillsville native Jenny Lindner and Adams-Friendship graduate Emma Roenneburg, have helped the Panthers to their best season in a decade," writes Mitch Skurzewski of the Marshfield News Herald.
Skurzewski talked to the two young Panthers and head coach Kyle Rechlicz about a variety of topics, including playing AAU ball together, recruiting and what it's been like moving to a big campus in a bigger city.
