"One down...two to go."
That was the title of Jeff Miller's latest article about the Milwaukee women's basketball team after the Panthers collected yet another huge win on Saturday, taking down Wright State, 68-57, in a battle for second place in the Horizon League.
UWM now holds sole possession of second place with just two games left in the regular season.
As Miller notes, if Milwaukee can secure the No. 2 seed, they get not only a double bye in the Horizon League Tournament, but also an automatic bid into the WNIT.
Add's Miller, "Right now, Rechlicz’s team is hitting on all cylinders, and seem to be peaking at the right time. The win Saturday extended their overall record to 17-10, and 11-5 in the Conference, and “rocking” a 4 game winning streak."
