Player Of The Match: Rachel Neuberger had a great weekend and capped it with her best match of the season Saturday night. The sophomore middle blocker tallied 17 kills while hitting .552. She is now hitting .328 for the season and is tied for the team lead with 22 blocks.
Key Stats: Defense told the story for the Panthers Saturday night. UWM collected 93 digs in the win, with five players reaching double figures. Milwaukee limited Drake to a .077 hitting percentage.
News and Notes: UWM’s Drake Invite title is its first of an in-season tournament since the Panthers won Bradley’s tournament in 2008 … Rachel Neuberger’s 17 kills marked a collegiate-high, the third-straight match where a Panther set a new career best … Neuberger was joined by Kerri Schuh and Morgan Potter on the all-tournament team, with Schuh claiming MVP honors … Milwaukee’s 93 digs marked an early-season high, while Drake’s .077 hitting clip is the lowest mark by an opponent this year … Elizabeth Egerer did not play Saturday night because of an injury. Player Of The Match: Kerri Schuh had an off-night Friday but responded in style Saturday morning. Last season’s Horizon League Player of the Year collected a collegiate-best 24 kills to go with 11 digs. And she hit .429, with just three errors in 49 attempts. The 24 kills are the most by a Panther since Becky Peters had 24 against Oregon State in 2008.
Key Stats: The Panther offense was stellar throughout the match. UWM hit .299 and had 68 kills. The fourth set was Milwaukee’s best on offense, as the Panthers had 23 kills and just three errors (.465).
News and Notes: UWM has now won three-straight matches … the Panthers’ 4-1 start is their best since the 2007 season, when Milwaukee started the year 14-1 … Kerri Schuh’s 24 kills reset her collegiate-high. Her previous best was 22, a number she had hit twice … Schuh’s 24 kills came one match after Elizabeth Egerer had 23. The last time the Panthers had two different players pass 20 kills in back-to-back matches was at the tail-end of the 2009 season, when Kerri Schuh had 22 against Butler on Nov. 14 and Jena Berg had 21 vs. Green Bay on Nov. 20. Man of the Match: One could make an argument for several Panthers in this match. Freshman Gerardo Saavedra made his first collegiate goal a memorable one, netting the eventual game-winner on a great shot in the 75th minute. Senior Keegan Ziada was also very active, ending the night with a game-high eight shot attempts.
Youth is Served: UWM started, count 'em, six freshmen tonight, with Saavedra, Adam Hutchinson, Alex Megna, Richard Johnson, Laure Bell and Zach Stevenson all in the starting 11.
Taking Shots: The Panthers have now tallied an impressive 50 shots in two games this season. The 30 tonight is the highest tally since 32 against Cleveland State nearly five years ago - October 15, 2006.
Up Next: Milwaukee takes on Western Michigan at 3 p.m. Sunday and are in the driver's seat for the team title after play Friday evening.

Woman of the Match: Sarah Hagen. Sarah scored one beautiful goal and assisted on Kelly Lewers' highlight goal in the game. She was continually a presence the entire game. Honorable mention: Everyone else that played because it was a good all-around effort.

Player Of The Match: There is no doubt Elizabeth Egerer claims this honor tonight. The junior was a stud from start to finish, collecting a collegiate-best 23 kills. She had eight kills in the first set alone, including a run of five-straight points.
Key Stats: UWM wound up with 61 kills to 54 for Wyoming. This allowed the Panthers to overcome 27 hitting errors.
News and Notes: Egerer’s 23 kills bested the 18 kills she collected against Cleveland State last season … the 23 kills are the most by a Panther since Becky Peters had 24 vs. Oregon State in 2008 … Egerer has now reached double figures in kills in seven-straight matches dating back to last season … Morgan Potter reached double figures in digs for the ninth-straight time and now has 40 double-figure dig performances in her career … Milwaukee’s 3-1 start is its best since 2007 … UWM is now 2-0 all-time against Wyoming.
